On October 1, 2025, together with Prof. Dr. Esra Aliçavuşoğlu, we visited the 18th Istanbul Biennial with our museum friends.
Curated by Christine Tohmé, the biennial—titled “18th Istanbul Biennial – The Three-Legged Cat”—draws attention with its first edition taking place between September 20 and November 23, 2025.
Exploring the themes of “self-preservation” and “possibilities for the future,” the biennial brings together works by more than 40 artists and can be experienced across eight different venues along the Beyoğlu–Karaköy axis.
