Following exhibition programmes dedicated to new talents working in Africa, the USA and Chile, this time
YAG/garage focuses its attention on Turkey in collaboration with Istanbul Elgiz Museum and Kurum
It was created to develop contemporary art in Turkey, especially to support and promote international contemporary art.
Visibility of young Turkish artists.
The project, like the three previous editions, was realised in two phases: a virtual exhibition
Gallery website and a forthcoming in-gallery exhibition in Via Caravaggio
It will end on 25 November.

The virtual exhibition consists of photographs by fifteen artists selected from a shortlist of 30 nominees
Sevda Elgiz, director of the Elgiz Museum, and her colleagues Melike Yürekli and Selin Güneş.
Ivan D'Alberto, a commission of experts created by Silvio Maresca, artistic director of The YAG/garage Gallery,
The YAG/garage founder, Martina Sconci, director of MuSpAC in L'Aquila, Maila Buglioni, The
Segno art review and Alessandra Arnò, director of The Visualcontainer in Milan, have selected 10 young artists.

The artists who will exhibit in Pescara in November.
The 10 artists who will take part in the exhibition are: Esra Oskay, Bahadır Hizol, Şevval Konyalı, Levent Ayata, Uğur Ömer Pekince,
Mehmet Ali Boran, Zeynep Merve Çiçek, Emrah Önal, Esra Doğan and Nurgül Gökçen.
The first four artists selected for the exhibition in Pescara will be awarded with a cash prize, while all other artists
The works of 10 artists will enter the permanent collection of YAG/garage Gallery.

The exhibition event will be documented in the Gallery's general catalogue, which will be presented in 2024.
The choice to research Young Turkish Art has been guided by the current economic and political situation.
Obviously, this kind of commitment encounters resistance in both political and economic spheres.
Moreover, the recent earthquakes in the south of the country on the Syrian border,
almost certainly upset the already precarious balance. In the event of a general state of emergency
it is difficult to allocate resources to culture, which is already under strong pressure.
It does not allow for a completely free expression. For these reasons, the YAG/garage INTERNATIONAL │ Turkey project is a
an opportunity for young artists and at the same time a chance for the public to get acquainted with a very different artistic production
It is different from what is usually proposed by the venue in Pescara.
